| My Mom Comes to Japan! The end of April brought a special surprise. My mother arrived on the 22nd of April, beginning a week of treasured memories! These are a few of the photographs that were taken during her stay. | My Two Mothers Meet in Japan! My actual mother had the opportunity to meet my "Japanese mother", Eifuku-Sensei. She has taken me under her wing, cooking me lunch, taking care of travel arrangements and guiding me through my time in Japan. Unable to speak English, Eifuku-Sensei and I communicate through broken pieces of both our languages. This picture shows you my mother and Eifuku-Sensei in front of her home after a pleasant day in the city of Omihachiman. | Genkyu-en Gardens Near Hikone Castle Margaret, Mom, Matthew, and Colleen posing within the beautifully landscaped gardens below Hikone-Jo(castle). | | | Kinkakuji (Golden Pavilion) Located on the north side of Kyoto, the Golden Pavilion is one of the most famous shrines in all of Japan. My mom and I were able to catch a glimpse of this treasured monument during our bus tour of Kyoto. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |
