My Two Mothers Meet in Japan!
My actual mother had the opportunity to meet my "Japanese mother", Eifuku-Sensei. She has taken me under her wing, cooking me lunch, taking care of travel arrangements and guiding me through my time in Japan. Unable to speak English, Eifuku-Sensei and I communicate through broken pieces of both our languages. Located on the north side of Kyoto, the Golden Pavilion is one of the most famous shrines in all of Japan. My mom and I were able to catch a glimpse of this treasured monument during our bus tour of Kyoto. |
